If you liked the weather we had this weekend, you will love what we have coming up for the next few days because there really aren’t many changes in store. Clockwise flow around a broad area of high pressure along the east coast will continue to filter air in from the south for at least the next week and a half, keeping us mainly dry in the process. Here is the satellite/radar view this afternoon with isobars (lines of constant pressure) at the surface overlaid:
The jet stream remains to our north, keeping all the upper level energy and organized weather systems up there as well, which is pretty much where it’s been for a good chunk of our abnormally warm/dry Spring so far:
Temps will crank up along with quite a bit of humidity by next weekend so if you have weekend plans, expect heat index values over 100º. Here is the 7-day forecast.. only chance for rain is on Friday with a very weak cold front dropping in from the north. Happy Father’s Day and enjoy the Summery last few days of Spring!
