* RAINFALL DEFICIT
HUNTSVILLE: -4.70” For the year
MUSCLE SHOALS: -7.05” For the year
FORECAST SUMMARY:
THIS WEEK:High pressure will remain in control for most of the week leading to slightly above average temps. Highs will stay in the low 90’s with upper 80’s in the higher elevations. Lows will be between 65 and 70. Rain chances will stay well to our north. We may see a shower or storm Friday or Saturday as a weak front stops just to our north. Weather models have the heat building Sunday into next week with highs in the upper 90’s possible. The next couple of weeks look hot and humid with a ridge of high pressure in place. Summer has arrived!
TROPICS: The tropics still look quiet but the GFS still has something in the western Gulf of Mexico late this week. Some of the other models are not showing it, so we may not see anything. No major concerns at this point.
