We kick off the official start of summer tomorrow, June 20th. To some of you it already feels like summer with temps remaining pretty consistent around the 90° mark for the past few weeks but, would you believe it if I told it’s going to get even hotter this week?! You got it! High Pressure will continue to remain in control for most of the work week. Remember, High Pressure yields descending air and that coupled with an ample amount of sunshine this week will bring about temps climbing into the mid 90’s for most areas and even the upper 90’s across some communities as well. Despite the heat…..there is a silver lining in all this. Dew Points will remain relatively low (upper 50’s to low 60’s) across the TN Valley which will allow heat indices to keep from rising, meaning it will likely feel HOT due to our temps; however, you won’t immediately start sweating the minute you step outside.
Slight Chance for an isolated shower/storm by Friday but chances there are still on the low end at about 10%-20%. I’ll leave you with your 7-day! Have a blessed day!
