A Weak Cool Front draping across the TN Valley this morning extending into parts of Southern Middle Tennessee in conjunction with a moist unstable air mass has prompted a few early aftn showers/storms just along the TN/AL border near Madison/Limestone/Lincoln/Giles Counties as well as NW Morgan County and parts of Eastern Colbert County. See Vipir radar below. We’ll expect this trend to continue through the early evening hours today. No severe weather expected but do expect lightning, gusty winds at times, and some potentially heavy rainfall.
Dewpoints are still holding in the 70′s for most areas yielding heat indices to rise almost 10 degrees in some areas. Check out the dewpoints below and the Heat Index right below that to see what it actually feels like where you live. Keep hydrated and stay in the shade if you’re outdoors for long periods of time today!
