The National Hurricane Center has just issued its forecast for the 5th tropical depression of the season.
The unnamed storm is traveling on a westward course with model predictions taking the disturbance to hurricane levels within the next few days.
Changes to the outlook are possible given a low pressure system to the north that could affect development of the Eastern Caribbean storm.
A host of Caribbean governments have begun issuing advisories and watches because of the depression with current sustained winds of around 35 mph.
We’ll continue to keep you updated on the storm but as of now, it’s not predicted to affect the United States.
