Summertime Storms South

As of 3pm, a strong complex of thunderstorms has developed well south of Huntsville, bringing heavy rain and lots of lightning to areas like Cullman, Haleyville, Double Springs, and Holly Pond:

Radar as of 3pm

The heaviest rain/strongest storms will continue to be along that boundary and it’s moving south, away from the TN Valley. There’s another weak boundary that’s popped up a few storms in Southern Middle Tennessee, and that one will drop into North Alabama as the day progresses:

Weaker disturbance with showers in south TN as of 3pm

This one will continue to fire up on/off t-storms but the coverage won’t be as much as what’s going on near Cullman right now. So, through the rest of the afternoon, expect most towns to stay dry, but there will be a few very isolated t-storms.
