Football and Fall go Hand in Hand!

So here we are in September. Football has started and the yearning for Fall surrounds us all. We are all anxiously awaiting the first cold snap that puts that first crisp fall chill in the air helping the leaves to turn, sweats to come out of hiding,  and putting that taste of Holiday and warm company around the corner on the tip of your tongue.  Well…..I can’t tell you when that first cold snap will happen; however, I can tell you that we WILL have a taste of fall on tap around the Valley beginning Sunday and lingering into the beginning of next week. I know….I am excited too but please try and contain your excitement since you are probably reading this at work.

The remainder of the week holds some still Hot and Muggy conditions before a strong cold front will settle into the valley Friday Night and into the first part of Saturday yielding some potentially strong to severe storms both days as the front tries to push through the Southeast. Behind the front high pressure will take control again on Sunday and leave us with a nice cool breeze from the North and temps only in the low 80′s during the day and upper 50′s by nightfall. Can I hear….” Windows open at night”….Amen to that right?! This should last into Wednesday of next week. So….if you want to make last minute getaway plans to the mountains to enjoy some hiking with fall-like temps and low-humidity…..now is the time to do it! Does my picture below entice you any? The Blue Ridge Mountains are a just next door! (wink, wink) Get out and live a little and enjoy this weather next week!

Have a nice day!
